First taste: Botanica Cold Pressed Juice

This was a couple of months ago; wasn't feeling so great health wise. But thanks to my sweet husband; he bought this juice for me.

Must say it was the best store bought juice I have ever had. It was fresh, simple and free from preservatives! The way one would want their juice.  Perfect if you are on the run and don't have enough time to make your own.

It was just what I needed. Felt much better afterwards.

There are three other juices to choose from: 'Bondi Beach' (Pineapple, carrot, ginger and lemon), 'Citrus Spice' (Lemon oils, natural Mexican agave and Cayenne pepper) and 'Sweet Beetroot' (Beetroot (41%),carrot,celery,ginger,red apple and lemon)

The only bad thing I have to say (which will effect only some) is that ..
It may contain nuts!!

23rd Of August. Breakfast At Tiff..Heaven.

TADAAA hehehehe
I ate it through my DSLR :P hahahaha..
Once I calmed myself a bit managed to have some of this stunning, powerful concoction.  How pretty is it?
Wow.
My handsome enjoying lunch at 'Touche Hombre'; you out did yourself Mr!!  :')

.... I was oblivious. Totally oblivious. There I was thinking it was a birthday brunch for my beautiful other half...... only to find out that.. *speechless* The photos speak for themselves! haha  I am still struggling to put my words together... I was shaking,I could barely eat any of that cake (dw I had some when I got home and it was just yummy! :3). I was just in utter shock. I mind just couldn't process what was happening. Surrounded by our friends... it was just beautiful.. (so underrated) I can't thank them enough for taking part of this momentous occasion. Truly grateful! Much love.

Look out for more posts... (loads of catch up posts also) of my many wonderful food adventures before and after this wonderful moment.

Bread Pudding

Such a easy dessert to make;great way to use left over stale bread. Here's the recipe I used.

Ingredients

6 slices day-old bread ( I used raisin bread; just whatever stale bread you have laying about)
2 tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup of raisins (Optional)
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
3/4 cup white sugar (personally prefer using brown sugar)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Break bread into small pieces into an 8 inch square baking pan. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over bread. If desired, sprinkle with raisins.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly tapped

ENJOY!!

My mother queen's 50th! (Bring on the long weekend devoted to eating)

Last Friday was mother owl's 50th birthday!! (If you didn't figure it out from the photos! :P) So we had to do something for her!! But instead of the typical huge birthday party many people organise; decided to just spend it with the family;just how we like it! And conveniently fell on the Queen's birthday long weekend!!!!! Meaning devoting the whole weekend  :P It sure was manic in the kitchen; trying to prepare dinner before mum came back from a appointment. 1.5 hours to prepare dinner. GAH. Anyway long story short.... it all worked out in the end and my brother and I managed to surprise her (to some degree :P). All that effort sure paid off!

Minus the roast chicken (thank you dad for bringing home take away for the sake of mum not finding out about the dinner AND so I had some extra little time to cook!) :P  I cooked and prepared it all! :3 Being such a slow cook; I was proud of what I managed to get on the table in such a short time! :3

(Will post recipes soon! and photos of what else we got up to that weekend!)

...Happy Birthday Mum
